OPEN 10/3/Y1: Child's Play (Highgrass Fields)

Highgrass fields, a simple dungeon that was good for beginners. The weather was mild and pleasant. It was moderately sized, the Pokemon aren't too strong, and the paths are developed and often used. It does live up to its name, however, it is very much like a very overgrown forest of grass. Pokemon could come out of anywhere, and it can be frustrating to explore here at times. Somewhere in the middle of the dungeon, grumbling is heard.

"I don't believe it."

The voice belongs to Polnareff, a young adult of a Skarmory. He is taller and bulkier than most Skarmory, and has a temper as well. The new world still baffled him, however. He lived shrouded in darkness for 25 years and was not used to the light that had been brought about the past few months or so.
"I'm LOST in a dungeon for KIDS!..." He sighed. "Mandola would slap me right now... well, at least she's dead. Now, WHERE are those STAIRS?!"

(OoC: Just to get started here. I'll wait for the rest of the team until I post again)

Looking around to make sure no one is watching, Polnareff walks slowly to a corner and collapses in a crumpled heap, sobbing. Lying down with his back to the wall, he moans something unintelligible before speaking normally under his breath. "There's no one here... There's nothing here... I'm dying of hunger... I miss Farren... and maybe even Mandola, a little." He scribbles in the dirt with his feathers. "I'm a weak, worthless old fart. Well, I don't have a kid's or a teenager's ambition, that's for sure."

He gets up after having rolled in a pile of mud made from his own tears. Frustrated, he lashes out at the grass walls with his feathers. The stairs are across the room he cut down the grass from. "Stairs... THE STAIRS!" He flits over there as fast as his wings can carry him. He doesn't make it there; he blacks out.

ooc: Sorry, Neo. :< I've been waiting for the rest of the plot to happen first... But maybe I can figure something out...

A voice sounds not far away from the Skarmory.

"Why am I here, anyways...? I guess a better question is why am I going anywhere. Well, I'll get where I need to go eventually. Someday...."

This dungeon was easy enough already. It seemed to be an easy one for Fire Types... As the voice belonged to a Houndoom, it would surprise one that, in fact, he was stuck in the middle of it.

"My fault for not having a single fire move, I suppose... But I don't like that sort of violence..."

Blake stared steadily ahead of him. Focus, in his calm nature, was something he did not really find difficult. Grass types were easily dealt with using Smog... Though on occasion he missed on purpose and used the gas to escape... He, despite his species, was not a lover of violence at all and would avoid just knocking out every random Pokemon.

Though he had to admit.

The dungeon layout was annoying. He was now officially lost.

He was about to turn around when he sees something.

Something silver...? Steel Pokemon around usually found in this area. He approaches slowly... When he realizes it is indeed a Pokemon he runs over quickly. He then pauses a few feet away...

"Hey... Hey Skarmory...?" he asked softly. He didn't want to startle it so he did little else other than softly nudge its form. "You're ok, right? Can I help you?"

He makes sure his incense is dangling... Some Pokemon have been attracted to the scent so he's kept it to make peace...

A smell wafted in the air, one like fish, sea salt, and ocean waves. Polna had been so stressed out that he wasn't paying attention to himself and had fainted from hunger. Soon, a voice materialized. "Hey... Hey Skarmory...?" The voice was soft. He was nudged a bit. "You're ok, right? Can I help you?" He desperately wanted to say something, anything, but couldn't. All that came out of his mouth was slight breathing. Instead, his stomach growled after about five minutes. Wow, way to make impressions...
